Dr. Adobi Jessica Timiyo obtained her doctorate degree (PhD) from the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom. Her thesis explored the intricacies surrounding servant leadership among UK higher education institutions. She was curious and became interested in understanding the complex nature of university leadership in order to shed more light on the subject. She invariably developed the leading manager theory from her thesis and proposed specific leadership styles suitable for managing higher education institutions. Her academic journey spanned across different continents including the United Kingdom, Europe, and Africa. She worked as part-time lecturer in Liverpool Hope University, United Kingdom, and later joined the university of Seychelles as full-time lecturer in 2016 teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is currently a full-time assistant professor in the American University of Malta. She remains an active researcher within the fields of leadership, marketing, research methods and strategic management. She has attended many international conferences in USA, Spain, Vienna, UK, Czech Republic etc. She chaired some sessions of these conferences and was equally a key speaker in others.
