1st Edition | Belgrade 2018
Belgrade in December 2018. The University of Belgrade opened its doors to scholars from around the world. Some came from Turkey, Russia, Australia (South Australia), Israel, Malawi, Iran, Sri Lanka, Greece, Romania, Jordan, Turkey, Sri Lanka and dozens of other countries to one shared goal: exploring ideas in the humanities and social sciences.
The sessions were filled with discussion. Researchers presented on topics ranging from the internet and politics, decision-making in national security, to inclusive education in Greek schools. Questions flew. Perspectives shifted. Connections formed. Every conversation added a new layer to understanding.
Between sessions, the city of Belgrade awaited. Its streets told stories where history met modern energy. Participants wandered, laughed, tasted local cuisine, and admired architecture spanning centuries. A guided tour turned into moments of curiosity, discovery, and informal networking.
By the end of the three days, the conference left its mark on the people, the city, and the experience itself.
